Quadrant Benchmark results in a score of 1299 on the DROID 2 running Android 2.2. Since this is the official successor to the Original DROID some things that consumers complained about were fixed (per-say), the Gold D-pad was removed and replaced with four smaller arrow keys to make room to spread out the keys to make the physical keyboard more comfortable to type on.

The DROID 2 now instead of a ‘Arm Cortex A8 550 mHz Procesor’ it has a much faster ‘1GHz TI OMAP processor’. The device will use the sme version of MOTOblur found on the Droid X. Also included a 5MP camera, 1300 mAh battery and 8GB of internal storage.

So if you currently own the original DROID and are looking to upgrade without losing your physical keyboard that this will be the phone for you.
