Samsung Vibrant Video Quality

I took this on a Bright Sunny day of the Philliy Phanatic across the street from the Art Institute of Phila. Beautiful Picture. I uploaded the video after transfering it to my computer. It records as a 3gp file I am surprised because I have never seen a 3gp file look as good as this or The Avatar Movie that comes with the Phone.

Vibrant Messaging App

I just thought that you might like to know some thing that isnt noticable about the native Samsung messaging app.
There are times when someone texts me and i just want to call them back. When you open the messaging app by selecting it’s icon the conversations list is brought up. If you just want to call the number back swipe your selection from left to right and it will turn green and say “Call” and then begin to call the person back. If you swipe from right to left then that just does the same thing as clicking the selection except the selection turns orange and says “Message”.  If i find any other things that arn’t very noticeable I will be sure to post them. If you know of any post below and tell your secrets about the Samsung Vibrant.

Watch out for ‘Fake Player’ app!! BEWARE!

I was watchibg G4Tv’s The Feed and heard about a Virus designed for the Android OS. This vrius is spreading in Russia. The trojan is descuised as a media player. The app once installed sends sms messaged to premiun numbers and leave you with the bill to deal with. This app is not available on the android market but beware, if an app looks fishy don’t download it. A tip: always read some comments before downloading anything.

Motorola DROID 2 scores High w/ Froyo on the Benchmark Test

Image: Phonearena.com

Quadrant Benchmark results in a score of 1299 on the DROID 2 running Android 2.2. Since this is the official successor to the Original DROID some things that consumers complained about were fixed (per-say), the Gold D-pad was removed and replaced with four smaller arrow keys to make room to spread out the keys to make the physical keyboard more comfortable to type on.

The DROID 2 now instead of a ‘Arm Cortex A8 550 mHz Procesor’ it has a much faster ‘1GHz TI OMAP processor’. The device will use the sme version of MOTOblur found on the Droid X. Also included a 5MP camera, 1300 mAh battery and 8GB of internal storage.

So if you currently own the original DROID and are looking to upgrade without losing your physical keyboard that this will be the phone for you.

What do you want to see from Android 3.0 [UPDATED]

I have been thinking about haw far android has come. I read on Androidandme.com that Android is the LARGEST smartphone platform in the United States. I can honestly say that I believe Android is going to take over completely for iPhone sooner or later. Android rivals the iOS4 and android is only on their second version. With even more goodness and speed coming with the 2.2 update. Android is doing things that Apple hasn’t thought about yet that Apple is beggining to implement in their own OS such as multitasking. But I agree that if it were not for the iPhone android may not have been what it is today.

So my question to the masses is: What would you like to see by the time Android 3.0 is released?
– Changes to the Market?
– UI changes?
– New Features?

One change that I want to see in the Android Market is the implementation of favorites or bookmarks for applications with custom catagories.
There have been so many times that I have seen an app that I like and want to mark it down so I don’t forget about it. There are also times that I would like to remove apps that I am not using at the moment and bookmark then so I will be able to come back to them later.
Sare there are also other ways such as backing up with androZip or astro but you cannot do that if apps are “DRM” protected. So just simply having a star system like gmail or even go as far as to have custom categories that you can sort all your favorite apps would be a great addition.

A Lot Has Changed!

You and I both know that TONS has changed since I last wrote on this blog and the G1 was the ONLY Android powered device. There are so many devices now that I have lost count. Every major carrier has at least one Android device with more on the way. The only reason that I am saying this is because I just finished reading a few of my posts and it made me laugh because Android has come so far. I am waiting for the day that Android takes over for iPhone completely, Continue reading
