They Fixed the “Better Cut” Shortcut Bug

There was this thing that I was going to address but Better Android beat me to it. I was going to send them and email and ask them why when I make web shortcuts somtimes they just stop working and I get a message that says “This application is not installed on your phone” o_O. But the latest 1.2.2 BetterCut update claims to have fixed this. We will see how it goes. I will update this post later after some time of use.

Open Home 1.7.6 Update

It seems like the Open Home Team is rolling out the add-ons by the lumpsum. In just a few short days there has bee a weather widget, music player, and the new call log live folders (download seperately). Today there have been two new additions. . . see below.

Open Home 1.7.4 Update!

My Favorite Home replacement has done it again, Updating their users with the good stuff. Version 1.7 of Open Home -Full came with a weather widget and Last night I downloaded the Update for Open Home 1.7.4 that included a Music Widget. I love this so much a MUSIC PLAYER right on my desktop now I don’t have to go all the way to the App to change the song. It Shows the song playing and the artist. Continue reading

Home Screen Wars

Ever since the first replacement home app went on the market there have been more Home apps hitting the market and trying to keep up with each other. First there was dxTop, then aHome, then Open home and now Sweet Home. My favorite one right now is Open home because they have an app that works like AnyCut, but only for Open Home and the original Home screen. Better Cut lets you edit shortcuts with not only custom names but also icons from a picture, a cropped portion of a picture or my personal favorite and the only thing that I use, Icon packs that are created just for Better Cut. Another thing that I like about Open Home is that you can now change the font and color of the text and the  color and transparency background of the text on the Home screen. The Android UI is now officially, HIGHLY customizable! My UI looks beautiful now instead of playful like it used to be. Continue reading
